About the Builder
Growing up in Puerto Rico I lived next to a small airport. This little airport had a very active ultralight community and also there was a skydiving business operating from that aiport. Almost without fail I would spend every weekend at the airport. Almost every weekend a pilot named Cuzo would overfly the area doing aerobatics. I was always dreamed of doing that one day. What sealed the deal for me was taking a ride in a bonanza around the pattern during an airport fair. From that day forward I decided that one day I would become a pilot. Fast foward many years later and I was the lucky recipient of a scholarship of free instruction to learn to fly. This meant that I had to figure out how to pay for airplane rental. At the time I was in college and had to work 3 jobs to pay for everything. Even crazier was that I prioritized flying over eating. To save money I would eat once a day so that I could pay for flying and other basic necessities. After earing my PPL my instructor and I became good friends and I ended helping him with his RV-7. After flying with him a few times the RV GRIN just would not wash off. So I decided I would build my own. Knowing that one day I would have a family I opted for the RV-10. Since starting the build a lot has changed in my life. I took a slight detur and became a commercial hot air balloon pilot. My original thought was to use that money from that to pay for the airplane. I now have two beatiful daughters and spend as much time with them as I can. Which leaves very little time to build the airplane. But I am determined to one day fly it. Hopefully before they go to college.
